What is the KMHS Booster Club?

KMHS Booster Club is a non-profit, volunteer organization which supports and promotes the KMHS Basketball Program. The Booster Club Membership is currently comprised of volunteer parents, who help make decisions on fund raising activities, pre-games meals, coordinating season events - i.e. Senior Night, Youth Night and help support the needs of the program. The Booster Club runs the KMHS Rec Basketball League which is a major contributor to our finances. The Middle School Program known as Metro is a self-running program and does not require financial support from the Booster Club. The financial contributions from the rec league, all fund raising and contributions are utilized to support the High School Basketball Teams both Boys & Girls. All expenditures by the Booster Club are approved by coaches, school administration and Booster Club Executive Board.  The Executive Board consists of the Varsity Coaches, Booster Club President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.

As a Booster Club Member, am I required to do any fund raising?

Yes, we the Booster Club realize that fund raising is an essential part of keeping the per player cost at a minimum.  This year we are asking parents and players to sell at least one (1) Corporate Banner Sponsorship to help us keep the player fees at $275.  If we do not reach our financial goals with the banner sales we will either have to initiate another fund raiser or require additional payment from parents.

Am I required to volunteer in the concession stand?

YES, and thank you!  Proceeds from the concession stand are our third major revenue source.  Each player family will be scheduled to serve two games during the high school season. You will not be scheduled to work during your child’s game. Varsity players will be expected to staff the concession stand for a shift during a Sunday afternoon youth rec. league session. We will also need volunteers to staff the concession stand during the Metro holiday tournament December 16-20.

Are there additional season tickets available?

YES, additional season passes can be purchased for $50.  They can be used at all REGULAR Season Home games.  This is a reduced rate and will save you $12.00 per season ticket purchases.

Are team meals provided to players?
